YScrubs is a brand and service operated by Yagnesh Surender Yadav, trading as YScrubs ("Yscrubs", "we", "us", or "our"). Vineet Sen publishes the Android app on Google Play on behalf of YScrubs. The service provider and legal operator determines how personal information is processed for the laundry and related services described in this Policy. We provide laundry pickup, cleaning, ironing, delivery, payment, refund, subscription-plan, and customer-support services through the Yscrubs mobile application and related services.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use and share it, how long we keep it, and the choices available to you. Where consent is required, we will request it through a clear affirmative action. Reading this notice does not remove any privacy right or create consent for an unrelated purpose.

1. Information we collect

Account and contact information

We may collect your first and last name, email address, mobile number, password in hashed form, profile picture, account role, and account authentication details. If you sign in with Google, we receive information made available by Google for authentication, such as your Google account email address, name, profile picture, and an authentication token. We do not receive your Google password.

Address and location information

We collect pickup and delivery address details that you enter or save, including an address label, street address, landmark, city, state, and postal code.

If you choose Use current location, the app requests foreground location access to detect and reverse-geocode your current location into a postal address. Yscrubs does not request background location access and does not use this feature to continuously track you. The resulting address is saved only when you choose to save or use it for an order.

Orders and service activity

We collect information needed to provide the laundry service, including selected services and item quantities, pickup and delivery schedules, order status and history, subscription or plan usage, wallet balance and transactions, cancellation reasons, ratings, support-related details, and refund status.

Payment and refund information

For online payments, Razorpay processes the payment checkout. We receive and store transaction information such as payable and charged amounts, payment method category, Razorpay order/payment/refund identifiers, verification status, timestamps, and bank reference details where available. Yscrubs does not directly collect or store your complete card number, CVV, UPI PIN, or online-banking password.

For cash-on-delivery orders, we record that cash on delivery was selected and whether collection was confirmed.

Photos and media

If you choose to add or change your profile picture, the app asks you to select an image from your device and uploads only the image you select. Adding a profile picture is optional.

Device, notification, and technical information

If you enable notifications, we collect an Expo push token, device platform, and device manufacturer/model so we can send order, pickup, delivery, payment, refund, and plan updates. Our servers may also automatically process technical request information such as IP address, request time, requested endpoint, response status, and user-agent information for security, troubleshooting, and service operation.

Verification and communications

We process email verification and password-reset codes, and transaction-related communications such as payment requests, order updates, and refund notices. Administrators may use phone, SMS, email, or WhatsApp to contact you about an order or send a payment link when you request or place an order by phone.

2. How we use information

We use the information described above to:

• create, verify, secure, and manage accounts;
• provide pickup, laundry, ironing, delivery, subscription-plan, wallet, payment, and refund functions;
• contact you about your orders and respond to support requests;
• send service and transaction notifications;
• detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, security incidents, and payment errors;
• maintain, troubleshoot, and improve app and server reliability; and
• comply with applicable legal, tax, accounting, dispute-resolution, and regulatory requirements.

We do not sell personal information. We do not use personal information for third-party targeted advertising, and the current Yscrubs app does not contain an advertising SDK.

3. When we share information

We share information only as needed for the purposes described in this policy, including with:

• Payment providers: Razorpay, to create, verify, settle, and refund online payments.
• Authentication and communication providers: Google for optional Google Sign-In, email delivery, Android notification delivery, and mapping or location functions that you request.
• Notification providers: Expo and the applicable mobile-platform notification service to deliver push notifications.
• Hosting, database, and storage providers: service providers used to host the Yscrubs API and database and, when configured, Amazon Web Services to store profile images.
• Communication apps and networks: phone, SMS, email, or WhatsApp when an authorized administrator uses the selected channel to contact you about your service or payment request.
• Operational personnel: authorized Yscrubs administrators, pickup partners, delivery partners, and support personnel who need the information to fulfil an order or resolve an issue.
• Authorities and professional advisers: when disclosure is required by law or reasonably necessary to protect users, Yscrubs, payments, safety, rights, or property.
• Business successors: in connection with a merger, financing, reorganization, or transfer of all or part of the service, subject to appropriate safeguards and applicable law.

These providers may process information under their own terms and privacy policies where they act independently.

4. App permissions and your choices

• Location: optional and requested only while you use the current-location address feature. You can enter an address manually instead.
• Photos: optional and requested only when you choose a profile picture.
• Notifications: optional. You can disable notifications in your device settings, although you may then miss time-sensitive order updates.

You can revoke device permissions at any time through Android settings. You can edit your name, mobile number, profile picture, and saved addresses through the app where those controls are available. Some identifiers, such as the login email for an existing account, may require assistance from support to change.

5. Data retention

We retain account, address, order, plan, wallet, payment, refund, notification, and support information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain transaction records, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, enforce agreements, and meet applicable legal, tax, accounting, and regulatory requirements.

Pending signup records and email verification codes are scheduled to expire after the verification period, which is normally about 10 minutes. Temporary online-payment verification records are scheduled for deletion within 90 days. Other records are deleted or anonymized when they are no longer required for the purposes described above.

If you request account deletion, we will delete or anonymize personal data that we are not required to retain. Limited transaction, payment, refund, fraud-prevention, dispute, or compliance records may be retained when required or permitted by law. When retained, they will remain protected and will not be used for unrelated purposes.

6. Account and data deletion

You may request deletion through Profile > Delete account in the Yscrubs app or through the public request page at https://api.yscrubs.in/delete-account. You may also contact yscrubs.in@gmail.com if you need help with the request.

We may take reasonable steps to verify that the request comes from the account holder. Deleting an account is permanent and may remove the profile, saved addresses, profile image, notification tokens, and other account-linked information, subject to the limited retention described above. We will explain any information that must be retained and the reason for retaining it.

7. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information. These include authenticated access, password hashing, payment-signature verification, transport encryption when information is sent over supported HTTPS connections, restricted administrative functions, and efforts to limit access to personnel and providers who need it.

No storage or transmission method is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please keep your password and verification codes confidential and contact us if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.

8. Children's privacy

Yscrubs is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 18. A person under 18 should use the service only through a parent or legal guardian. If you believe a child provided personal information without appropriate authorization, contact us so we can review and delete it where required.

9. Processing locations

Yscrubs and its service providers may process information in India and in other locations where their systems or personnel operate. Where required, we use appropriate measures for such processing and transfers.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when the service, legal requirements, or our data practices change. We will post the updated policy at the same public URL, update the “Last updated” date, and provide additional notice when a change is material and applicable law requires it.
